Located on one of the busiest corners in Calgary, National is a unique take on the traditional pub that encourages guests to experience its welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere, uninhibited.

Embedded with cross-country references and design elements such as East Coast wainscoting and West Coast heavy timbers, National’s design is inspired by the different regions of Canada and the railway that connects them. Cool craftsman elements such as reclaimed flooring are layered with industrial elements and railway-inspired details throughout, including the beer menu which recalls vintage railway schedule signs. Long communal wood tables define the space and create functional seating while encouraging a social atmosphere where guests feel at home.

Since opening their doors in June 2012, FRANK has had the opportunity to be involved with three more National locations in Calgary and is working with the client group to expand the National brand across Canada.
