Vermillion Room

Located in the heart of the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, The Vermillion Room is a contemporary take on the classic French brasserie. Working within the constraints of the hotel’s historic status, the FRANK team created a timeless and glamorous destination designed to international standards.

Much of the existing architecture was maintained and integrated into the new design to preserve the rich history of the space. The interior was fashioned from a palette that includes plush navy velvets, polished brass, marble, mirror, and rich wood tones. Large, glazed arch doorways and detailed coffered ceilings introduce a sense of grandeur and elegance synonymous with the hotel the Vermillion Room inhabits. It is illuminated by the ambient glow from bespoke globe chandeliers with brass detailing, reminiscent of 17th-century Parisian bistros.

The open-feature kitchen and addition of a central bar along the mountain-view-laden windows act as focal points while infusing bustling energy typical of French restaurant culture.
